Ekklessent
First question. Where did the name come from? Ekklessent is a combination of the Greek word "Ekklesia" and the English word "Essentials." So basically, it means "Church Essentials." This name was chosen because Ekklessent was started out of a need for simple and easy to use, but essential services for small churches. There are a lot of great services and applications available for churches today, but unfortunately, due to cost or complexity, they are not always the right fit for new or small churches. Our goal is not to replace these great options, but rather to provide essential services for these small churches that have all the features they need, are easy and intuitive to use, and are affordable, until a time comes when they need a greater feature set and it fits in their budget.

Hello. My name is Wayne Griffith. I am the Pastor of Living Hope Family Church Marana, which is a young and small church in Marana, Arizona. I started Ekklessent because I needed to have a way to record and manage my congregations details, like names, addresses, birthdays, anniversaries, and their giving. I also wanted a way that was easier and more effective than using a spreadsheet. Everything I found available was either too expensive for our budget, had way more features than I currently needed, or usually both. This is why I wrote Ekklessent Church Management. My goal is to provide simple, necessary services to small churches at an affordable cost, until the time comes when they need and can afford more feature rich applications and services. ECM was just a start, and soon I hope to provide even more applications and services that meet this need. Keep checking back to see what will be coming next.
